In this tutorial, you will learn how to add an Observation.
There are four ways that you can submit safety, quality, or improvement Observations. By documenting Observations, you can improve work processes and ensure the utmost safety at your workplace. Find out how you can add an Observation. Note that the process is similar on the mobile app.
How to submit an Observation.
- There are four ways to add an Observation:
- If you have a basic account, click on "Submit an Observation" on the Home page
- On your Company page, click on "Observations", click on the menu in the top-right corner, and select "Add observation"
- On your mobile device, click on the camera icon in the top-left corner of the Home screen and take a photo. Make sure that "Observation" is selected before you take a picture
- If you want to add a lesson learned to a Task, click on "Add Observation" to a completed Task. Note that this Observation will be marked with the label "Lesson learned"
- Add in the following information:
- Observation details (mandatory)
- Location
- Date and time
- Observation type: Choose from Safety, Quality, or Improvement
- Impact
- Choose from Damage, Environmental, Injury, Production, or Security Threat
- Fill out the information. The details differ depending on the impact selected
- Click on "Add Impact"
- Repeat the process for each impact
- Work stopped: Click on the icon if work was brought to a halt
- Resolved: Click on the icon if the issue was solved right away and add details in the "Resolution" section
- Media
- Click on “Save” in the top-right corner to submit the Observation
💡 If you are having trouble taking a photo of an Observation on your mobile device, check that your camera access is turned on in the settings.
