Add Users

There are two ways to add a user: by email or by username.

If your role has been given permission, you can add a user to the directory, located on the Company page. Note that the process is similar on the mobile app.

💡 Note that you can select "Import Users" by uploading data from a file (.csv, .tsv, .txt spreadsheets are accepted) or by manually adding data into the predefined spreadsheet. 

How to add a user.

You can add a user by email or by username. To start,

  1. Navigate to the Company page and click on "Directory"
  2. Click on "Add user" in the top-right corner
  3. Select the user type from the drop-down menu. If prompted, choose a role from the list
  4. Select a worksite from the drop-down menu

Adding a user by email

  1. Click on "By email"
  2. Fill in the user's information

    • First name (mandatory)
    • Last name (mandatory)
    • Phone number
    • Email (mandatory)
    • Start date
  3. Click on "Add" in the top-right corner of the page

  4. Click on "Done" in the top-right corner of the page

💡 Note that you can resend the email with the temporary login link by selecting the user in the directory and clicking on "Resend welcome email" at the bottom of the page.

Adding a user by username

  1. Click on "By user name"
  2. Fill in the user's information

    • First name (mandatory)
    • Last name (mandatory)
    • User name (mandatory)
    • Phone number
    • Start date
  3. Click on "Add" in the top-right corner of the page

  4. On this page, you will find:
    • User details: Name, phone number, username
    • Password: Autogenerated
    • "Export as PDF" button: Save the user details and password in PDF format (not available on the mobile app)
    • A "Copy to clipboard" button: Copy the user details and password to paste elsewhere
  5. Click on "Done" in the top-right corner of the page

💡 Note that the username auto-populates based on your name, but you can edit it. It can only have letters and/or numbers and it must be at least 5 characters long.

Signing in for the first time.

Users added by email

If a user is added via email, they will receive an email with a temporary login link.

Users added by username

If a user is added by username, they can sign in to Opslock with the username and autogenerated password they are given.

Then, both users will need to enter their first and last name and create a new password.

Once they have made the following changes, they can add more details to their profile by editing their profile
